A ripening tomato is fragile — easily bruised, easily burst. In this material sensitivity, the choreographer and I found a parallel with the body. Like the performer’s body, the tomato reveals its finitude as it slowly transforms and wears down over time. Its material properties mirror the ephemerality of performance — the body consumed and disappearing in real time on stage. This work explores a state of subtle change that appears still but is constantly shifting — the slow passage of time that defines ripening. Rather than presenting movement itself, we investigate the structure that holds and supports that temporal flow.

Within a rotating motion, fixed perspectives dissolve. Time and space, as perceived by the senses, are continually rewritten.
